I hate math problems. Just reading that short paragraph gave me a headache.

nothing. its a counting trick. you are starting your 1 dollar from two different spots. essentially, every inmate gave the bell hop .67 cents. so, you can easily collect the change from everybody if you add the .67 three times, plus three, plus 25. That gives you the thirty.

This is misleading: $25+$2+$3=$30.00. The dollar didn't go anywhere. They only paid $25 for the room, The $27 comes from that $25 plus the $2 the bellhop has. I can't win anything this time, Hubby the Math Geek helped me with this one.

if you take away the bellhops fee first, they paid 9.33 for the room...

The room was $25. 25/3= 8.33333. They did not each pay $9.

8.3333 x3=27.99 which rounds to 28. The sneaky bastard got two bucks. There is no missing dollar. There is however, a huge fight over the penny ;)

I meant 8.333 plus the refund dollar is 27.99. Oh, you know what I mean!

ANSWER: The bellhop tucked the extra dollar in his boyfriend's G-string.
It was just his own little way of saying, "I'm glad you agreed to marry me, you sexy bitch."
Awesome words on Gay Marriage. You wrote exactly what I was thinking.
Especially the part about ass-ramming animals... you must've read my mind.
Like you have ESPN or something...
