Election officials explain the discrepancy is being caused by a number showing how many times various machines have been used. But officials could not explain why used machines in other locations were reportedly 'clean.'

An apparent hazardous material incident at a South Jersey elementary school has closed voting polls there and forced an evacuation of students... A hazardous material truck, several fire trucks and police cars were on the scene, and groups of children could be seen in the school's parking lot from aerial views from Chopper 10." - NBC10.com

"The Lufkin Daily News reports the Angelina County GOP headquarters was told that Lufkin State School employees bribed [mentally disabled] students with ice cream. They also alleged improper use of a state van to take students to the poll for early voting." - NBC5i.com
  4. People being turned away in some precincts in Boulder and Denver
"The organization, FairVote, says it has received over 500 calls into its hot line. Its representatives say the biggest problem is people being turned away in some precincts in Boulder and Denver because the address on their identification doesn't match the address on the voter registration logs. It doesn't have to match, according to the Colorado Guide for Election Judges. A complaint has been made to the county clerk and secretary of state's office and it appears that the problem will be fixed." - ABCNews.com
  5. In Miami and St. Petersburg machines did not accurately record votes
"In Volusia County, an optical scan ballot reader broke down at an early voting site but the ballots in question were "reread" into a new machine this morning under the watch of both parties. In Miami and St. Petersburg, a total of three machines did not accurately record the vote preferences of some people voting, leading them to complain to precinct officials, who rectified the problem, according to Democratic party officials. It appears the number of affected voters was low." - ABCNews.com
  6. Moveon.org members pose as pollsters to persuade voters to vote Kerry
"New Hampshire Republican Party officials claim that workers from the left-leaning political group, Moveon.org, have posed as exit pollers to get inside polling locations. The GOP officials say once inside they have tried to persuade voters to cast ballots for Sen. John Kerry. Republicans say they have successfully removed the Moveon.org/exit poll imposters from polling stations in Manchester and Portsmouth. MoveOn.org representatives deny the allegations and say their efforts focus on getting out infrequent voters and there would be no reason for their organizers to be going to the polls to change people's minds at this point in the game because it goes against the whole point of their campaign. They say it's the GOP trying to create a public record of controversy in battleground states." - ABCNews.com
  7. Problems with new touch-screen voting machines
"Two precincts in Greenville County experienced problems with their new touch-screen voting machines. Some early voters had to use paper ballots as technicians repaired the machines. "In Kanawha County, a poll worker accidentally closed a slat on a ballot box that was not supposed to be shut until the polls close, according to the AP. The box was reset by 7:15 a.m., but the delay forced a few residents to cast provisional ballots." - ABCNews.com
  10. 18 and 30 vans used to transport Republican volunteers to voting stations had slashed tires
"ABC News reports from the Bush-Cheney satellite headquarters in Milwaukee that between 18 and 30 vans that were going to be used today to transport Republican volunteers to voting stations had flat tires.
