The blog contest to end all blog contests! Or so I am told.

Meinen Damen und Herren, Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls, preppies and super-dudes, presenting for the first time ever, the great big hotcarl blog contest. Its so big no capitalization has been deemed necessary to perpetuate its sheer bigness.

What is the great big hotcarl blog contest, you ask. Quite simply it is the greatest blog contest ever devised. Each entry of this here blog will present you with a question about something completely random; it may be to tell us what is depicted in a photo or to describe the mystery ingredient in McDs Special Sauce. Each question will be accompanied by a various number of points to be awarded to the first correct answer posted in the comments of that entry. Thousands will enter, but few will win. Oh yes, there will be winners and even prizes, well maybe prizes, prizes cost money biotches and this aint freakin Publishers Clearinghouse. Winners will be chosen by top points earned at the end of each round, and yes I determine when rounds will end at will. So jump down to the first question now or wade through the rest of the meaningless crap in this entry, its up to you when you get started.

Things I am currently wondering; no, none of these are related to the great big hotcarl blog contest.

Why are countries negotiating with terrorists? Come on Spain, Philippines, pull your collective heads from your asses!

Why does NBC insist on airing the Olympics in prime time? Does anyone really care who the Speed Walking gold medal winner is?

Why did they wait so long to bring these back?

Why has Google posted a story about Michael Moore in its Top Stories section every day for the past month and a half? Yes, its a controversial film. However, its old news, now get on with the real news. BTW, those of you who have not seen this gathering of lies masquerading as a documentary, get your self a copy of Bit Torrent and downloaded it now. Its not stealing, Mike says its A.O.K.

OK, thats enough wondering for now.

The First Question! A four part question, worth 25 points. This question is rife with educational value.

What is this? Who makes it? Where is it made? Where is it used? What is it being used for?

Have fun,

j
