June 30, 1908, a date which will live in infamy.

Its the turn of the century and you are a poor Russian farmer living in the edge of the Siberian Forrest. Its early morning and while preparing to harvest your crop you see an enormous ball of fire screaming towards the Earth. The horizon fills with an orange and red glare as the object explodes over the Tunguska river nearly a hundred miles away. The shockwave from the blast is so strong it throws you from your feet and breaks every window in your home.

As you slowly pick yourself up off the ground, you are momentarily stunned by what you see. The forest you lived your entire life next to, consisting of millions and millions of trees, was no more. As you look out across the now barren landscape all you can see is the remains of what must have been a devastatingly catastrophic event. Fires burn uncontrollably through out the once fertile forest. For the next several days, the fires burn so intense you are able to write down your accounts of the event by their light.

With your lively hood in ruins, you and your family are forced to turn to a life of vagrancy. You manage to raise your children as best you can. As hermits they find themselves unable to garner any advantage and are forced to continue living their lives and raising their children as desert nomads.

Its nearly 100 hundred years later and the event that has shaped your familys destiny is still unexplained. A group of researches has come to the very spot of the travesty and have begun an exhibition to discover what truly happened that fateful night.

Your great grandson manages to find himself work as laborer for the archeologists earning a reasonable sum for his efforts. While excavating the dig site one night he discovers something. He attempts to clear the massive black object of the dirt surrounding it but it is futile, the object was simply too large. He alerts the team of scientists and within minutes every able hand is working feverishly to clear the debris. What he finds is something that could change the world for ever

No one realized my headache was this big (picture me holding my hands about 3 feet apart) and had EXCEDRIN written all over it. I guess no points will be given out on this day.

Not really much reason to check the great big hotcarl blog contest Leader Board, but here it is anyway.

Question 17.

Who said it?

If I become President, I'll make every piece of information this country has about UFO sightings available to the public and scientists. I am convinced that UFOs exist because I have seen one.

Have fun,
